Jani Rundall Portrait

Founder of Hormageddon™ | Certified International Speaker, Author, Coach, Trainer

I spent three decades watching people struggle.

Then I became one of them.

I’m Jani Rundall, a certified international speaker, author, and coach, and the founder of the Hormageddon™ framework. I spent three decades building a career across government, healthcare, education, and corporate technology sectors in the US and Australia. I understood people and organisations, and I knew what it took to perform under pressure because I’d been doing it my whole working life.

On paper, I was thriving. But behind the scenes, I was constantly navigating a world that didn’t feel built for the way my brain worked.

Then came a late ADHD diagnosis, and something shifted. The puzzle pieces of my entire life started to make sense. Not just the hard parts, but all of it. The patterns I’d noticed for years, the way I connected things other people missed, and the exhaustion of adapting constantly to systems that were never designed for a brain like mine suddenly had an explanation.

It didn’t limit me. It liberated me.

Then midlife hormones kicked in, and the life load that I’d carried for years became too heavy to carry. Grief, burnout, a nervous system that had been running on overdrive for decades, all of it landing at the same time. I was in the collision zone, but I didn’t have a name for it yet.

That name became Hormageddon™.

The Hormageddon™ framework is the survival guide I needed and couldn’t find. So I built it.

Everything I’ve learned points back to one thing. The work isn’t about becoming someone else. It’s about understanding who you already are, clearly enough to make different choices. Self understanding was the key for me, and it’s the key for the people I work with. It’s what turns a collision you’re surviving into a life you’re actually choosing, built on your own terms.

The promise I made

"If I was going to walk through this, I was not going to waste it."

In the middle of navigating ADHD, grief, burnout, and the leap from a long corporate career into building something of my own, I made a commitment to learn from it, grow through it, and use it to make things better. For myself and for every person I sat across from who was carrying the same weight without the language to name it. That commitment was an act of self leadership before I had the words for it, and it became the Hormageddon™ framework and the reason I do the work I do. Because leading yourself through the collision is the thing that changes everything else around you.

WHAT I KEPT SEEING

People were struggling. And nobody was connecting the dots.

Across three decades and thousands of conversations, I kept seeing the same pattern, and it was the same every time. Capable, intelligent, experienced people hitting a wall in midlife and not understanding why. Relationships were fracturing, careers were stalling, and identity was quietly collapsing, but everyone was looking in the wrong direction for the answer.

They were blaming themselves or blaming the people around them, or they were being told to push through, slow down, or simply accept that this was just what getting older felt like.

None of that was right. What was actually happening was a collision, and it had four very specific forces behind it.

Some people don’t just struggle through the collision. Some give up.

Globally, women’s suicide rates peak in midlife, between the ages of 45 and 54. The very years the collision hits hardest. That is not a coincidence. It is what happens when people carry something this heavy without a name for it and without anyone telling them it is real and survivable.

This is why the work matters. Naming the collision reduces the shame. Understanding it reduces the isolation. And self understanding gives people back the belief that there is a way through.

If you are struggling right now, please reach out. You can find a crisis support line for your country at findahelpline.com, or contact your local emergency services. You do not have to carry this alone.

WHAT I WAS WATCHING HAPPEN

What the work actually is

Self understanding is the key to a life on your own terms.

This isn’t about fixing people, because people don’t need fixing. What they need is someone who can witness their story, connect the dots they haven’t been able to connect, and give them a framework that makes their own experience legible to them. Self understanding isn’t a soft concept. It’s the first practical step, and it’s the key that unlocks everything else. It reduces the load, builds self-trust, and gives you the foundation to stop surviving the collision and start building a life you actually choose. Everything in the Hormageddon™ framework is built to take you there.

A human lens, not a clinical one

The work is grounded in professional training, research, and thirty years of pattern recognition, but it’s delivered through a human lens with no jargon, no labels, and no one-size-fits-all answers. Just clarity, warmth, and the kind of honesty that helps people finally see what’s been happening to them.

Lived experience in the room

I’ve navigated late ADHD diagnosis, menopause, grief, burnout, entrepreneurship, and rebuilding after setbacks, so when someone sits across from me and says they don’t know if they can do this, I’m not responding from a database. I’m responding from experience, and that’s what makes the difference.

A framework, not a feeling

Hormageddon™ gives people something concrete to work with, including a way to see the pattern, name the forces, and understand that what’s happening to them isn’t random, isn’t a failure, and isn’t permanent. Once you can see the collision clearly, you can start to work with it.

THE HORMAGEDDON™ FRAMEWORK

Four forces. One collision. One framework to navigate it.

Hormageddon™ is the name for what happens when these four forces collide at the same time in midlife. Understanding the collision changes everything. Not because it fixes the problem. Because it gives you the map.

Hormones

Oestrogen, progesterone, testosterone. When they shift, everything shifts with them, including mood, memory, energy, and the way the brain works under pressure. And this happens to everyone.

Brain Wiring

ADHD, especially late diagnosis, collides with hormonal shifts in ways that clinicians have been slow to recognise. Brain wiring that got you this far isn’t failing you. It needs a different map.

Nervous System

After years of output without enough recovery, the nervous system reaches a point where it can’t regulate the way it used to, and that isn’t weakness. It’s depletion, and it’s completely nameable.

Life Load

The demands haven’t changed but the capacity to meet them has, and career, family, relationships, and identity all land differently at midlife when everything else is shifting at the same time.

CREDENTIALS AND TRAINING

Thirty years of experience. Backed by research and training.

The Hormageddon™ framework is built on three decades of observing human behaviour across complex organisations, and it’s backed by formal training across a range of specialist disciplines. This is a human lens with real credentials behind it.

The Questions Nobody Asks Out Loud

If you're wondering any of this, you're not alone

Is what I'm feeling normal?

Yes. What looks like falling apart is very often a collision of four forces hitting at once, and it follows a pattern. Naming it is the first step, and it’s the thing that starts to lift the shame.

Am I too old for this to change?

No. Understanding what’s happening changes how you navigate it at any age. Midlife isn’t the end of the story. For a lot of people, it’s where the real story begins.

Is it just me?

It isn’t. The same pattern shows up across thousands of people, women and men, who were never given the language for what they were going through. You’re not broken, and you’re not alone in this.
